Megalochori is a charming village with good shopping and dining options. But we had no rental car, and the short walk to the village, without sidewalks along the main road, was very frightening. The staff are amazing and the most helpful hotel staff we've come across. The rooms are gorgeous and massive we stayed in the romantic suite and the view from the balcony is stunning. Megalochori is a 10-15 min drive from Fira on a bus which comes every 15 pretty much all day and 30 mins at night and is only ?1.80 per person each way. A few improvements: the bathroom drain leaked a pool of water every time we used the shower or sink. Our mattress was very uncomfortable we had to put a thick blanket under our sheets to make it bearable to sleep on. The doors do not close easily so people had to slam them shut and that would disturb people who were sleeping. The safe in our room was not bolted down so I didn't feel really safe leaving our valuables in there. Would be nice to have the option to have breakfast or dinner brought up to the room because the view is so amazing and the balcony is so well made for a meal. We didn't see any order forms for this but we didn't ask if it was possible either. Overall we really loved the relaxing vibe and the distance from Fira means it's very quiet so ideal for a romantic getaway. Thank you Spyros and Maria we really enjoyed your hospitality. | 5 |

The sunset view is amasing from the room, and the staff is really sweet and so professional ! The location is very nice also : near a little typical village, not realy crowded, and with nice restaurant. Local buses are easy to reach. A place to be recommended, for sure ! | 5 |
